Project Summary

Grand. Sexy. Contextual. The design concept is derived from a conjectural story that proudly showcases the historical riches of Wenchang woven into the fabric of a refined, yet playful experience. The 432-guestroom hotel is situated in a tropical condition, creating a waterline and jungle oasis. The environment plays first chair to the project. Everything is open, and everything is integrated into the site, with all the bells and whistles of a typical 5-star luxury resort – in both service and aesthetic. What differentiates the space is not just what you see; it’s what you feel. The modernist approach is felt by the site’s orientation and use of scale, progressing from dense to transparent. Build within, not atop…all dolled up in a different dress.
